I love MagSafe batteries and by this point, I have probably tested hundreds of them. There are plenty of great options out there with different capacities, charging speeds, built-in cables, and diagnostic displays, and there seems to be a MagSafe battery variant for any situation. But the feature I like most is thinness. While it’s great to have 10,000 mAh in a battery, that adds too much extra bulk in most daily cases. So over the last few months, I have been on the hunt for slim MagSafe batteries that add the least amount of bulk to my iPhone. These are the three best ones I’ve tested so far.

If you want to see all of these in action, be sure to check out our video below!

The Kuxiu B10 is not the thinnest of the three we mention, but it is definitely the most well-rounded and possibly my favorite of the bunch. It will, of course, charge your phone via MagSafe, but it has a trick up its sleeve that I think every single MagSafe battery should implement. You get:

    • 9.1mm thin and weighs 120g
    • Qi2 wireless charging (up to 15W)
    • 5,000mAh battery
    • USB-C charging (in and out, up to 20W)
    • Dual-sided MagSafe magnets
    • Low-current mode for smaller devices like AirPods
    B10 7
    B10 6
    B10 1

The feature that stands out about this one is the dual-sided Magsafe magnets. On the portion of the battery facing away from your iPhone, they added another magnet ring so you could attach additional accessories. So if you want to add a MagSafe stand, or wallet, or pop socket, you can do that. I think it’s an incredible feature. It is so simple, but useful. As I said, more brands need to make this a normal feature.

The Kuxiu B10 is on sale for $39 from Kuxiu’s website. What is nice is that it also includes a MagSafe ring holder, so you can test out the dual MagSafe design right away, even if you don’t have any other accessories.

This is where things get exciting from a thinness standpoint. BMX claims to have the world’s thinnest solid-state MagSafe battery. So if thinness is your top priority, then get this one. For reference, the iPhone 17 Pro is 8.75mm thin, and this battery is 6.8mm! Here is what you get:

    • 6.8mm thin and weighs 120g
    • 5,000mAh
    • Qi2 wireless charging (up to 15W)
    • USB-C with up to 20W wired output
    • Brushed titanium enclosure
    • Solid-state battery tech
    Solid safe 4
    Solid safe 2
    Solid safe 1

At just 6.8mm thin, it’s noticeably slimmer than anything else in this category, even compared to already thin options. Even though it weighs the same as Kuxiu’s B10, it feels lighter because it’s so thin. It is even thinner than Apple’s MagSafe battery for the iPhone Air. The Apple version is 7.7mm thick, and the SolidSafe is 6.8mm. So if you are looking for the slimmest possible battery, this is the way to go. It comes in three colors: Black, Silver, and Gold. You can get it for $59 on BMX’s site, and they offer discounts if you get more than 1. I actually have three of them that I always keep charged when on the go.

I am a huge fan of Pitaka cases. I have used them since the iPhone X. They are ultra-thin and made with aramid fiber, which gives you an awesome look and feel. They brought that design language and thinness to the latest MagSafe power bank. This is the most balanced of the bunch. You get:

    • 8.8mm thin and weighs 118g
    • 5,000mAh (also available in 10,000mAh)
    • Qi2 wireless charging (up to 15W)
    • USB-C with up to 20W wired output
    • Aramid fiber construction
    pitaka 3
    Pitaka 1
    Pitaka

This is easily one of the best-feeling MagSafe batteries I’ve used. The aramid fiber finish adds grip while still feeling smooth and premium. It’s thin enough to still feel comfortable in your pocket without it feeling too big. This one is technically the lightest of the three. It’s currently on sale on Pitaka’s site for $69 and comes in a multitude of colors and designs. If you are looking for one that balances design with thinness, and you like the woven armaid fiber look, then this is a great call as well.

    Final thoughts

I have always believed that MagSafe batteries should be thin and light enough to stay on your phone without being a nuisance. The bigger the MagSafe battery, the less I tend to use it. All three of these MagSafe focus fit that mold; they are thin, charge at 15W, and feel like an extension of your phone rather than just a charger you keep in a bag. My personal favorite is the Kuxiu B10 because of the genius extra magnetic ring. But if you want the thinnest one, the Solid Safe one is the way to go.

But you can really go wrong with any of these. Let me know your thoughts. Do you like slim MagSafe batteries? Do you prefer larger ones that can charge more than just your iPhone? Let’s discuss below!
