I’d like to disable the parsec subsystem on macOS Ventura.

    • I’ve checked other answers such as What is parsecd? and shut down Siri and Location Services completely.
    • I’ve checked the Open Files and Ports section from Activity Monitor corresponding to both these processes. The screenshots possibly provide some clues which I am unable to parse accurately and require help to know the root program so that I can shut it permanently.

I’m hoping for a workaround or method to disable the CoreParsec.framework located at /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CoreParsec.framework

Logs and corresponding images from Open Files and Ports section are reproduced below:

    /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CoreParsec.framework/parsecd
    /Library/Preferences/Logging/.plist-cache.BHGWoOhX
    /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CoreParsec.framework/Versions/A/Resources/InfoPlist.loctable
    /System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.bundle/English.lproj/SystemVersion.strings
    /usr/share/icu/icudt70l.dat
    /System/Library/Frameworks/CFNetwork.framework/Versions/A/Resources/DafsaData.bin
    /private/var/db/analyticsd/events.allowlist
    /Users/user_name/Library/Group Containers/group.com.apple.PegasusConfiguration/config.plist
    /dev/null
    /dev/null

OS version and device information – I’m using Ventura 13.7.8 on a 16 inch, 2021, MacBook Pro with an M1 Pro chip.

Can these processes be stopped or better prevented from starting each time the system runs?
