Transitions of any scale are often met with a mix of excitement and trepidation. One year ago, when we embarked on the journey to migrate the Black Belt Academy to our new Learning Management System (LMS), MindTickle, the stakes were high. We weren’t just moving files; we were migrating the learning legacy of over 90,000 partner individuals and protecting 300,000 learning records.
Today, as we celebrate our one-year anniversary on the platform, those initial “migration jitters” have been replaced by a narrative of strategic collaboration, AI-driven innovation, and a transformed learning experience.


A Strategic Alliance for Global Reach
Our success over the past year hasn’t just been about adopting new software; it’s been about the deep, collaborative partnership we’ve built with the MindTickle team. By working as strategic allies, we’ve pushed the boundaries of what a learning platform can do, focusing on key areas that add immediate value to our partners:
- Multi-lingual trainings powered by Black Belt AI Translation tool: To support our global ecosystem, we’ve introduced automated translations, making learning materials rapidly available in Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Korean, Japanese, and Mandarin.


- Improved Navigation: We’ve co-developed an interface that ensures finding the right training is faster and more intuitive, allowing partners to spend less time searching and more time growing.
- Robust Ratings & Feedback Systems: We’ve closed the loop between learners and content creators. Our new feedback systems allow us to listen to our partners’ needs and pivot our content strategy based on their direct input, maintaining a current CSAT rating of 4.8 out of 5.
- AI Validation & Sales Pitch Tool: We have introduced cutting-edge AI validation that provides partners with instant, automated checks on their progress. This is further enhanced by our AI Sales Pitch tool, which enables partners to practice presenting their value propositions in a safe environment and receive helpful, AI-calibrated feedback to strengthen their real-world sales performance.
- Synergy between Internal Cisco Sales force and partners. With the release of Quarterly Development Focus content, we are providing partners with the same training material that is available for Cisco internal sales organization. Partners and Cisco teams can further align with what our customers need, and how we can provide value.
Alignment and the Cisco 360 Partner Program
Black Belt Academy has become a cornerstone of the new Cisco 360 Partner Program. By aligning our curriculum with the Partner Value Index for each Portfolio, we ensure that our partners are learning in lockstep with Cisco’s own strategic goals. This synergy is driving a more consistent and durable growth engine for our entire ecosystem.
The Results: Impact by the Numbers
The most rewarding part of this first year of collaboration has been seeing the tangible business outcomes:
- Unprecedented Growth: In Q1 FY2026 alone, we achieved a record-breaking 105,200 new certifications—a staggering 160% year-over-year growth.
- Growing Expertise: This quarter saw 22,300 certified individuals, a 90% increase in YoY, underscoring the expanding pool of skilled professionals.
- Deep Engagement: Our “needle mover” partners (those representing 80% of our business) are fully on board. 95% of these critical partners are active in the Academy, highlighting a direct correlation between learning and business impact.
Looking Forward: The Vision for Year Two
What started as a successful migration has evolved into a powerhouse of partner enablement. But we are just getting started. As we look to the future, our partnership with MindTickle will focus on creating an even more integrated and seamless experience:
- Integrating eLearning and Live Training: We are working toward a richer, “all-in-one” ecosystem that seamlessly blends on-demand modules with live training modalities, powered by AI and calibrated by real experts.
- B2B Integration Development: We are exploring ways to connect Black Belt Academy directly with our partners’ own Learning Management Systems. This would allow us to offer high-quality content directly within their native environments—providing the right knowledge, where they need it, when they need it.
As we move into year two, our goal remains the same: to provide a world-class, AI-calibrated learning experience that empowers every partner to lead in the market.
