Huawei Cloud has announced several solutions and technologies at the Huawei Cloud Go-Global Summit 2025 (Chongqing, China, March 24-25), designed to support Chinese companies developing their businesses to serve overseas markets.

Jacqueline Shi, President of Huawei Cloud’s Global Marketing and Sales Service (see image above), said the key to expansion was a change in practice, from a mindset of solo expansion to one of collaborative growth. Huawei, she said, is in a perfect position to guide its customers and partners through the process of global expansion.

Shi emphasised the potential of AI in both traditional and emerging industries. Traditional industries, she said, can use AI to enhance competitiveness and productivity, while emerging industries can disrupt existing markets.

Business consultant and founder of Run2Me Management Consulting, Liu Run, told the Summit that businesses should localise their operations to each country, so balancing international expansion with local market penetration. He also advocated changing companies’ roles from that of intermediary to providing services directly to better cater to regional needs.

Robust solutions launch with 30+ partners

The Summit presented examples of Huawei Cloud’s work in the finance, automotive, retail, and internet sectors. Huawei Cloud offers Low Latency Live (LLL) directed at the media and entertainment businesses, for example, with LLL based on networks that offer latencies of under 500 ms, meaning no frame-freezing for end-users’ HD video playback. The platform’s serverless architecture lets services scale even during traffic spikes, the Summit was told.

New capabilities for Huawei Cloud’s ‘Global Business Boosting’ portfolio were announced, including an AI-enhanced security planning and consulting service, AI-enabled cloud meetings, and improvements to the AI Cloud Services that make foundation models accessible from Huawei Cloud’s data centres. Pangu models are Huawei’s tailored AIs and native applications designed specifically for different sectors.

William Dong, President of Huawei Cloud Marketing, said Global Business Boosting covers consulting and planning, cloud acceleration and innovation, and offers a suite of products, technologies, and consultation services. He said, “Huawei Cloud has established an all-round global ecosystem. In the future, we aspire for more outstanding enterprises to join us. Together, we build a thriving ecosystem, and we share success.”

Several of Huawei’s partners were on site at the Summit, and shared their experiences of working with Huawei Cloud. Bi Xiaocun, Senior Vice President at KingSoft Office, said that Huawei Cloud is an integral part of KingSoft Office’s global expansion. Its office suite, WPS, runs on Huawei Cloud technologies, including databases and big data services, plus region selection and risk management functions rely on Huawei Cloud’s localised resources.

Yang Yunyun, Vice President of MINISO, said that their company has succeeded in evolving from a brand selling Chinese-made goods to a global retail hub.

MINISO uses Huawei Cloud’s AI and big data capabilities, and has seen a 40% increase in the matching accuracy of consumer goods in its operations. This is based on the integration of user tags and AI algorithms that collate sales and consumer behaviour metrics.

In the back-office, the company has seen a 20% boost in the speed of report generation from queries, and cut its data costs by 30% by decoupling its storage from compute in collaboration with Huawei Cloud.

Yu Youping, President of ZKJ Technology, told the Summit that Huawei AI models have been able to address challenges their company facen around language barriers, compliance, and channel isolation – commonly encountered by enterprises when serving global customers. ZKJ Technology partnered Huawei Cloud and local security experts to build a “1+2+3” global contact centre, using Instadesk – its service platform – to let Chinese enterprises better connect with their global customers.
