SharkNinja, a global product design and technology company known for creating highly-rated household products and lifestyle solutions, and the Questrom Consulting Lab at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, are excited to announce a new partnership focused on AI and advanced analytics.
This unique collaboration establishes the SharkNinja AI & Analytics Lab, combining the deep AI and analytics capabilities of Questrom faculty and graduate students with SharkNinja’s expertise in solving consumer problems through elevated product design and category-disrupting innovation.
“We’re harnessing AI to unlock a new era of innovation at SharkNinja,” said Mark Barrocas, the CEO of SharkNinja. “We’re thrilled to partner with Boston University’s Questrom Consulting Lab to connect world-class academic insights with real-world business challenges. Together, we’re deepening how we use data and analytics to make smarter decisions, operate with greater precision, and accelerate how we turn insights into action as we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible. As we scale AI across the organisation, we’re driving faster execution, stronger collaboration, and ultimately better outcomes for our consumers.”
The SharkNinja AI & Analytics Lab will provide a structured, faculty-led environment for advanced analytics, artificial intelligence and business insight generation. A dedicated team of graduate business students, under the guidance of experienced faculty advisors and Lab leadership, will collaborate with SharkNinja to design, develop and deliver AI-driven and data-powered solutions.
Professor Peter Howard, the executive director of Action Learning and the Questrom Consulting Lab, shared his excitement about the collaboration: “This partnership offers our students the opportunity to bring their academic insights into a vibrant industry environment. Working alongside SharkNinja’s experts, our team is excited to deliver relevant and measurable value to support SharkNinja’s growth.”
The Lab will serve as both a centre of excellence for data and AI-enabled decision making and a platform for testing and scaling analytic and AI approaches, strengthening the connection between academia and real-world business impact.
“Experiential learning is critical to ensuring that business students enter the world of work ready for success on day one,” added Susan Fournier, Allen Questrom professor and dean of the Questrom School of Business. “This is why we are truly excited and grateful for our collaboration with SharkNinja to provide our students with the opportunity to work at the leading edge of AI and enhance their learning experience while having real impact in real-time.”
